In 1985, attorneys Mark A. Givler and Julie A. Evers formed GIVLER & EVERS, one of the first law partnerships in North Central Pennsylvania dedicated to representing injured workers in claims for workers’ compensation benefits under the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act.
Since then, they have handled thousands of workers’ compensation cases and have litigated those cases in front of practically every Workers’ Compensation Judge from Altoona to Williamsport, Brookville to Pottsville, and Coudersport to Chambersburg.
They are experienced in taking cases through all stages of the appeal process from the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
Moreover, they have handled cases involving all types of work-related injuries and diseases, including herniated intervertebral discs, ligamentous tears in the shoulders, knees, elbows, and wrists, meniscus tears, carpal tunnel syndrome, shoulder impingement syndrome, complex regional pain syndrome, brachial plexopathy, heart attacks, sudden death from cardiac arrhythmias, concussions and post-concussion syndrome, dermatitis, bursitis, post-traumatic stress disorder, hearing loss, disfigurement, psychic injuries, chemical sensitivities, and lung diseases, including asthma, emphysema, and pulmonary fibrosis, to name just some.
They have represented members of the UAW, IBEW, The United Paperworkers Union, the Teamsters, AFSCME, The Boilermakers, The United Steelworkers, the former International Ladies Garment Workers Union, and other unions, as well as many non-union workers.
Over the years they have given dozens of free educational seminars for the benefit of union members and the general public. Both Mark A. Givler and Julie A. Evers have been invited speakers at Bar Association seminars attended by attorneys from across the state. Mark A. Givler also has spoken at the request of the Department of Labor Studies & Industrial Relations of The Pennsylvania State University.
Now joined by their new associate Travis Givler, Givler & Evers is growing and able to handle even more cases in and around central Pennsylvania.
Today Givler & Evers continues to offer injured workers experienced, knowledgeable, and aggressive representation.
